I want to change a title for film. I understand I need to go into "Edit Page" at the bottom. The problem is that the film is set to release in 2015 (I had changed it from 2014 to 2015) but when I get to the add correction page for the title, it shows the title with the old release date (2014), thus not letting me change the title. The following is what it tell me.

This correction has been rejected. You need to correct this correction before it will be accepted.
  • The year in the new title must match the year in the old title.
If you need to change the year as included in the title, please submit a release date corresponding to the new year. If you do not know the exact date within the year, it is okay to omit the day and month in the release date. We will then update the year in the title accordingly if required.

Please note that if you are correcting an existing release date by more than a year, you should also provide an explanation to assist in processing this change.

Anyone know how to solve this?

As you have just discovered, IMDb does not allow contributors to directly change the Year in the Title. Since IMDb uses the year of Release in the Title, they extract it from the Release Date.

However, the routine that performs that update does not run every day. It may take a week or two before the system actually updates the Title from a changed Release Date. If this change is not made 3 weeks after the Release Date change appears, post a reply here indicating the problem so that the Data Managers can check the reason for the delay.

You didn't specify which Title you are trying to adjust, so I cannot see what is there.
