I'm afraid that I've encountered a circumstance that warrants a special deletion request for not only a short movie but its entire cast and crew.
Published to YouTube on April 14th, 2017, it's titled The Experiment. I surmise that somebody (possibly one Ida Vainionpää herself) submitted a title addition, by providing the bare minimum of the requirements by providing a "Miscellaneous Link" (to YT video 77XiqrUVyYM) but without having truly followed the conventions associated with such an approach. So, there is undoubtedly evidence that the movie exists, but none that it was screened or televised anywhere, in a way that implies genuine (or "notable") publication as it were.
I must question the eligibility of an Internet movie (with less than a thousand views within the span of nine months) made by a group of people who are credited in no work other than that one particular movie. It feels like these farthest-from-famous people did it just to inject themselves on to IMDb: shameless self-promotion. How is that rightful?

You said it yourself "indiscriminate catalog of movies, television series and video games" and then you propose discriminating web-based content, which nowadays is becoming as valuable as the first two categories.
Basically a few next generations will probably ask "why this short film not on IMDb if it is on YouTube"? And they probably will be perfectly right.

To be fair, the exclusion criteria I proposed would not extend to works that credit the participation of people who have been involved in more works than only the same single one in which all those people's names appear.
By the way, there is bound to be tons of web-based content as well as content outside of the web that will simply disappear altogether, thus leaving future generations exactly baffled as to why the work is cataloged on IMDb.
Furthermore, it is not cool how there are so many performers and crew members cataloged whom we know absolutely nothing about. Why aren't users who submit titles for inclusion required to provide a little bit of information about the mystery persons credited therein? It's just bogging down the database ironically with emptiness.

I appreciate and share some of your concerns. As for vanishing web content - I'm trying my best to preserve information (sometimes copies) for everything I add, in order for situations occure rarely. I still can't archive anything I watch - recently a web-series which was nearly a decade long was fully demolished from YouTube.
Thinking further about future generations - has it ever occured to you that present-day web-content might interest them as much as we are fascinated by lost films of the past? You'll never know what actually might have some relevance. History occurs in mysterious ways and times are changing - younger people are already somehow combine their interests for old cinema with web-based content (I am myself not that old - 25 years, but I'm talking about people even younger).

I personally find knowledge of the existence of unviewable movies (unconverted lost film stocks) to be a tad agonizing, but yes, the thought crossed my mind that such knowledge can inspire interest.
If someone wants to delete this (type of) Youtube short film from IMDb, they probably should delete thousands of these. IMDb is full of them, amateur/student/etc short films.
It’s another discussion entrely that should Youtube short films accepted to IMDb in the first place. And I guess that decision has been made already - for better or worse.

I'd say for better, but I am an inclusionist and I'm also really passionate about the emerging web segment in general.

Not in my book, but I certainly won't argue if you put it here and the title will be considered eligible. In my humble case after discovering Mark Edward Fischbach has so much credits for videos mostly lacking any effort I mostly concentrate on adding YouTube content which amazes me with amount of effort put into it, regardless of whether it was recognized a lot or just by a handful of people. YouTube has a lot of amazing animators, experimental filmmakers and web-series which more then deserve to be featured on IMDb.
Also, I've credited certain shoe and hat a few times on my short film titles, as a running joke, as they've transcended to full-on characters. :)
