when i check-in to a series on the front page of that series, it doesn't check-in to any of the episodes. These are still marked unseen.
I think by selecting check-in on a running series, it should at least mark all aired episodes as checked-in or give us an option to decide which variant we prefer.

PS. the same extends to the watchlist feature: if you mark the series as a whole for the watchlist, the episodes themselves are untouched.

Can someone explain to me what does the "check-in feature" consist in, in the IMDb context?
I thought I was fairly knowledgeable in English and, to a lesser extent, in IMDb matters, but this word appeared twice yesterday for the first time, and I cannot figure out precisely what it refers to here. (And I know a couple of other meanings, according to different contexts)

I would desire to explain it, but I cannot, since I'm a layman too.
I explained it a bit above.
You can find the check-in on every movie etc page, as a mouse over on the "+" sign.
The "+" sets a movie etc on the watchlist, which means you still want to watch that movie. The check-in means, that you have already watched that movie.
On "your name" > "your lists" you can find lists of all check-ins and the watchlist.
I use the check-in feature as a database, what i've already watched. I think, that's what it's for :P
I hope that in the future all check-ins/watchlist entries will show up on every list on the site, so that i can see what i have watched already of any actor etc.

I'm using that check-in feature as a database for everything i have watched. I'd like to evade the task of manually check-in to dozens to hundreds of episodes for every tv series.
