would like to see the cinematographer / director of photography listed under the director and writers on the front page, since it's one of the biggest key creative roles. i'm constantly having to go through all cast and crew to find this incredibly important role to film making.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Improve visibility of Cinematography credit.

Increasingly, i believe, a film's cinematographer is becoming more widely recognized by the general viewing public as being as integral to the film's success as its director(s) and writer(s).  More and more people are recognizing and remembering the names of cinematographers.  The Academy Award for Cinematography is of greater interest to people, for example.
I suggest that the Cinematographer credit be displayed on a title's page near the top, immediately below the Writers credit.  It's time that these creative people are more prominently featured on a film's IMDb page.
Thank you.

Why isn't the d.o.p. up there with the director and writer at the top of the Cast & Crew page ? He/She is way up there in both hierarchy and creative input...
