Jean Harlow, of course. Though Loretta Young comes close 2nd. However, your poll is not "votable" unless, of course, I"m missing something. It's written like a poll, it's just a fan list though.
It'll be a poll soon. Right now it's it the "edit" mode. Thanks for your feedback. Few actors starred with as many star actresses as Gable. In the 40s, 50s and til his death he added people like Lana Turner, Doris Day, Marilyn Monroe, Greer Garson, Hedy Lamarr, Deborah Kerr, Barbara Stanwyck, Sophia Loren, Eleanor Parker, Alexis Smith, Jane Russell, Ava Gardner, Rosalind Russell..... and so on!

This certainly isn't necessary but it would probably help more people to vote if you cited a movie or two that Gable and the given actress were in together. Perhaps just add something in the field next to/below each actress like this:
Starred with Gable in 'Gone with the Wind'

Oh, if you use the search option above, make sure you choose "Clark Gable (I)." There is someone else with the same name who's not "The" Clark Gable.
Also, this is what comes up for Gable and Marion Davies, for example:

So you can see that it will give you everything two people were In together, even If they had bit parts. One or two sample movies would be fine: there's certainly no need to list everything. Of course, some are simple: Vivien Leigh and Gable were only in one film together, of course, and everyone knows it automatically. : )

And Dan, I love information like that so I found the Oracle of Bacon to be a lot of fun. Sometimes, when I can't sleep, instead of "counting sheep," I think of ways various actors are connected - a sort of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" in my head until I fall asleep, lol.
