Rob. An empty page is not cause for deletion. My page was empty for three years until I got my first credit.

If the person has only "(uncredited)" credits, the page may look "empty". But of course some actually are empty, so IMDb staff need to double check.

Dear Ed: I dunno how/why I came across this stuff. It must have been fate, LOL. But now that I know that empty pages may not be empty (whatever), I will desist and not waste my time as you so kindly recommended. Yes, I have heard of IMDBPro, btw, but as it is paywalled and I don't subscribe I don't know much about it. No worries. Yours.

As noted in the thread above, there may be instances where we will retain an empty name pages (if there are 'uncredited' credits attached or if the page was created and claimed through an active IMDbPro membership).
In this case, I have reviewed the name page reported and determined that it is ineligible to be listed, the page has now been removed from the site.

I don't think this thread is about whether you, Ed Jones, belong in the database or not. I considered your example to be just that, an example. In this case, an example of an empty page that you feel should not have been deleted (and of course, it wasn't in your case). I simply stated that I feel that such pages should be deleted because they have no business being in the database. That IMDb allows this is up to them of course because it is their database and they make the rules, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it or be happy with it.
