Hi Mrshvd3,

I have tested this; http://www.imdb.com/search/common and see that it appears to be populating suggestions correctly. So that we can investigate this further, can you provide further information regarding what name(s) you attempted to compare, as well as what browser you tried this whether?

Additionally, have you attempted the same search with a different browser and if so have you encountered the same issue?

Providing this information will assist us in investigating this further.

Best,
Kurt

Hi, Kurt -- I was trying for (for instance) "Maggie Smith" and "Liz Smith" (no quotation marks). I also got the same empty dropdown boxes for titles entered in "Common Cast/Crew".

I don't have a different browser, so can't help you there; mine is IE 11 and is up to date. The first suggestion is usually to empty the cache (delete temp files, etc.); I did that, no difference. I don't know if Flash Player is involved, but mine is up to date.

I, too, see those empty drop-down menus in IE11 on my Windows 8.1 PC.
There's no such problem in the other browsers I use  (Firefox and Chrome).

Perhaps the problem is with IE, then. BUT.....since a vast majority of computer users have and use IE, perhaps IMDb needs to find out why their feature isn't working properly in IE. Users shouldn't have to add or change anything in order for something to work that has always worked in the past until now.

Thank you, Claire. The "Collaborations And Overlaps" feature is very helpful and I use it often. I hope you'll have it available again soon.

I have the same problem and haven't been able to use the "Collaborations And Overlaps" search for months, unfortunately - regardless of which browser I use (Firefox, IE, Edge, ... all up to date).

To be more precise: "Two People Working Together" works fine, but "Common Cast/Crew Between Two Titles" does not work anymore.

The first box works fine. The problem is the second box: Regardless of input the second box always creates an empty drop-down list. Even if I enter a name which produces a working drop-down list in the first box - and allowed me to successfully select a title there - into the second field it will only create an empty drop-down list.

I really like this feature and would like you to fix it, please!

Hi Jesus,

Our tech team is unable to reproduce this issue in any browser.

Can you provide an example of the text used and possibly a screenshot?

Thanks,

Trevor

Dear Trevor,
Thank you for your reply.
I use Firefox 55.0.3 (32-bit) and Microsoft Edge 40.15063.0.0, and always encounter this issue.
I used the titles "Lost" and "Alias" as search terms.
After entering the text into the first box I hit the tab key to move the cursor to the second box.
Then the drop-down list showing the search results opens and I can choose one of the results from the list.
I use the second box the same way: I enter the text into the second box and hit the tab key to move the cursor to the yellow "Search" button.
But when the drop-down list opens it doesn't show any search results, unfortunately.
Instead it always looks like this:

In addition to that now there is an issue with "Two People Working Together", too: It works with Edge (See www.imagebam.com/image/e3f2d8589222083, please!) but not with Firefox (See www.imagebam.com/image/a9bc6a589222053, please!)
Thank you!
