I am trying to add company names to a title, but the company name field now seems to have a limit as to the maximum number of characters, two company names which exceed this seeming character limit. Is there any way to overcome this issue?

The specifics:
The title: Stop Look and Listen (1967) (tt0062307)

The two company names I am unable to add under Miscellaneous Companies due to length:
National Highway Accident Prevention Commission, The [us]
Federal Commission on Interstate Highway Safety, The [us]

Both companies have the Role of
the producers wish to express their gratitude to

To Gene and the IMDb staff: Does it make any difference that these two commissions almost certainly were fictional entities? (See https://youtu.be/nr_Dd2Rpsc0?t=45 for the credits that include these entities and the Crazy Credits section at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062307/crazycredits/.)

Some fictional entities are eligible for listings, I believe, though.

Plus there is a good possibility that these two were actually real? I mean, I am not aware of the title and if it is a comedy they might be fictional but googling them made me thinking that they might be renamed into something nowadays. Maybe they were merged into National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA)?

Nikolay: Googling these commissions doesn't suggest to me that they might have existed in the past. The only hit for "National Highway Accident Prevention Commission" refers to a Moroccan entity called "Comité National de Prévention des Accidents de la Circulation" whose English translation is that phrase. And the only hit for "Federal Commission on Interstate Highway Safety" is ... this thread here on Get Satisfaction.

By the way, I had seen this film before, it is a comedy, and I had assumed that the long list of organizations being thanked was part of the humor of the film.

As a sucker for weird kind of humor and reading long end credits I am now very interested in checking it out...

If gromit82 is right (as usual) then we should list this as a crazy credit not as a company listing. Good luck with the investigation!

Will,

At least one of the listed groups is real: the Firehouse Five Plus Two. It is listed in IMDb under that group name (/nm1442973/). I have already submitted  a Thanks credit for the group for this short, also deleting the Misc. Company credit.

Beyond the specifics of this title, I would still like an answer as to how to overcome the character limits if I ever need to add a company name longer than the field will allow.

I've encountered this problem, particularly when the company that is credited is a department of a university, such as "Ames Library of South Asia, University of Minnesota" https://s9.postimg.org/3oo7fvf33/Great_Indian_Railway_Journeys_20180403_20002100.png (note the comma which denotes that this is a single company spread over two lines on-screen).

I'm sure in the past I've been able to submit company names that are longer than 30 characters, possibly by initially submitting a shortened name and then correcting it to the full name once it has been published.

In cases such as mine, should the name be entered as the university name with the department plus university in the attribute field? Or should it be just the department name with the university name abbreviated in a possibly non-standard way (eg "UM" or "Univ Minn" in this case)?

I've submitted with the department name and then submitted a Company Name Correction request. I wonder what will happen...

I've come across another company that again will not fit into the maximum character field allowance. Martin, did that work for you.  Can someone on staff answer this question as I'd always hate to go through that two step process?

The process of submitting a shortened name and then raising a support ticket to get it corrected to its full version - that works fine. But it's tedious. It would be nice if the field validation was modified to accept longer names, with a size based on the longest name that currently exists in the IMDB database.
