Music is perhaps just as important in a movie or series as story and acting. Which of the soundtrack from these talented, well known composers do you like best?

I don't consider Warcraft (2016) bad, at all. It might not be the best or most exciting fantasy movie, but it's far from the worst and I enjoyed it despite not being that much of a fantasy fan. So, might it just be fantasy for people who don't like fantasy?

The movie Warcraft is a tad busy and also somewhat hollow. The structure and pacing do not seem to provide the audience the opportunity to connect with any of the characters. The movie is long too, yet still feels rushed. Maybe the movie appeals more to people who are already familiar with the game than with people who are not. That being expressed, the adaptation is not really much better or much worse than most adaptions of other video game franchises.

You're probably right, Jeorj.  I wasn't into it because I'd never played the game or anything.  And it just depends on your movie taste.

My biggest problem with the movie was the casting of Americans.  In medieval fantasy movies, you can only cast Europeans or other people with accents.  It just becomes cheesy if they all sound like they're getting ready to say, "I've gotta check my phone, dude!"

Wow, this is the first time I've seen the name Ramin Djawadi and he's practically from my neighborhood. The music he scored for the movies I saw didn't leave any impression so I'll go with John Williams.

John who?

Lol seriously, no offense to the other composer (certainly a talented guy who's making more money in a month that I'll ever make in 100 years) but I've never heard about him so the title made me smile, I mean you might as well ask me who's my favorite actor Al Pacino or Armin Tamzarione

I gave up on Star Wars with the prequels.  :(  I wasn't a big SW fan to start with, but I will admit the originals were pretty good entertainment, especially for the 70's/80's (aka before we came to expect state-of-the-art CGI from every single movie!!!!!!!!!).  But now it's become purely a moneymaking creation, even more so than it was at the time of the prequels.  Not that they can't make a profit off it, because they have jobs too, lol, but the focus on quality has been completely forgotten and it's all just "what character can we market this time?"

There's a movie I absolutely love called I Am Dragon, it's Russian, and a work of art, putting modern-American/Disney fantasy/romance films to shame (forgive my harshness, but I am passionate about this, lol). I was shocked and saddened to find out that it flopped bigtime, not nearly making back its budget.  The film has a beautiful story with wonderful characters, but it's not a slog.  It has excitement, great special effects, and breathtaking imagery.  So it's a sad reminder of how people must view movies now; giving their cash to the newest Robert Downey Jr. project (no offense to him, of course), and brushing off something that is a true work of art.

Sorry, I just had to rant.  :)  Thanks.

Quest for Fire is a fine example. My first thought, however, is usually Blade Runner and its sequel; despite the latter not necessarily being what would be considered a "flop". Looks as though the original Blade Runner fell short of breaking even (a profit margin of less than zero) in the three-month span of its initial release. According to available data, Quest for Fire fell short of a 50% profit margin, likewise with Blade Runner 2049; a sign of better performance but not exactly "fairing well". I'm having trouble determining the profit margin of Он - дракон, due to the lack of data and the fast-changing exchange rate of Russian currency with United States currency, during the period of time in which the movie was made and released; but it seems like it may have experienced a profit margin higher than 50%. That all being stated, profit margins in excess of, say, 67% are only really important in regards to "body of work" building, retirements preparations or the donating of proceeds toward an established mission.
