Jen: Yep: they just deleted mine mere seconds ago when I tried to post on a thread on how it isn't the 20th but they shut down message boards now on the 19th, by "James."... I think they are closing anything that smacks of a complaint for their decision; their guilt is getting to them...?
Tried to write this, (we'll see if these stay up; probably not)
"Yep: You are correct, James. I'm in Colorado, and have what I thought was six hours left to "Archive" message boards, but NOOO: the 19th is the 20th?!? IMDB is cruel AND cannot count or tell time. Planned on taking these six hours to download information, but Nooo, IMDB decides otherwise, even when they tell us in advance, they DON'T KEEP THEIR WORD.
They don't even honor their "Contact Us" page for there is NO contact to be made...
To IMDB: Saddest and Stupidest business decision ever made to date by
IMDB, is ending the Message Boards. "Burning" this Great Library will
recoil in burning your own house down, alas. The main, & for some, the only
reason to get on IMDB are for those Message Boards. Interpretation of Media Arts just stepped back into the darkest of ages, in a land where "free speech" is clearly no longer prized...
Shame is upon you, IMDB.... You didn't even ask/request alternate means to retain this vast Sum of Knowledge, just posted a notice and expected people not to care.
Yet We Care.
For some, it is the database for in-depth research that makes for true education in the modern Media Art world. Discussing the Great Ideas brought to the Fore in the medium of Film is what makes minds gain the growth called Learning, and is of tremendous value, yea, irreplaceable value.
~That discussion of Ideas is a part of what makes us Civilized.~
Yet, You, IMDB Elite Decision-Makers, now take the next step for all of us into our descent of becoming more and more: *Technological Barbarians.* Yep.
Overturn Your Decision, IMDB decision-makers; Take the Heat and Confess Where You’re Wrong, and We All will Praise you for it in the end. Do it not, and this travesty will be on your heads throughout history. "

Edge - Climber same thing here. I spent a lot of yesterday archiving stuff but I thought i had another day because it was misleading and I thought it meant all time zones not just a GMT time for gosh anyone would think that if it says the 20th that it would be the 20th no matter where you are. I would have finished mine tonight for I had 4 hrs that I could have done it and I think I would have finished in 2 hrs archiving. These were message threads I had not even had a chance to read yet.
