My attempt to remove a movie review which I feel violates IMDB code of contact was denied:

Reason stated: Not enough evidence.

Your contribution has been declined. There was not enough evidence submitted with your contribution.

I have already posted the following question in this post:

I wanted to reported a movie review which I feel violates the IMDB"s code of conduct. Yet the only thing I see is to select one of 4 options: Duplicate, Inappropriate, Not Relevant and Spoilers.  Is there not a place where you can explain why I feel this particular review is inappropriate? The entire review isn't in question only certain parts.

Hi Sarah -

We currently don't have a separate comment field for User Review reports, therefore, you will need to select the reason that most closely matches the violation.  If you feel that a User Review is inappropriate, as per our guidelines, please select the "Inappropriate" option.  Cheers!

Michelle is telling me there is NO comment field. Her words not mine. Yet IMDB's reason for denial is "There was not enough evidence submitted with your contribution."

How can I present my case? Who, what, and where can I do that? I want specific instructions regarding this not some vague, meaningless answer like I received above.

SG

I do not understand: if IMDb's answer amounts to state that the said review does not violate their own code of conduct, what is the purpose of challenging it?

What makes you think they are right when I'm not given the opportunity to prove they are wrong?

Stating things in this review as fact when I know and can easy proven otherwise.

This cast a disparaging view on the movie in question.

I don't feel an open forum is the proper place to discuss my complaint. Bottom line is this. IMDB denied my request citing "There was not enough evidence submitted with your contribution"

You can't tell me that and then not allow me to present my evidence.

I agree that the wording "There was not enough evidence submitted with your contribution" suggests that you should have included evidence that they don't give you an opportunity to provide. I'd suggest to IMDb that they need a different phrasing of that rejection.

On the other hand, I agree that you need an avenue for due process in case that data editor missed the inappropriate content, or when you have extra insights that may not be obvious to every editor. (Frankly, I'd think providing space for particulars during the Report This process might be a good idea.)

I did a search for "inappropriate review" in the IMDb Help hub, and found this page:
https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/contribution-information/how-do-i-edit-or-remove-a-review...#
had this text near the bottom (bolding is mine):
If you've found a review that violates our guidelines, please click "Report This" at the bottom of the review and select the appropriate reason from the list then click submit. We will not remove a review unless it violates our guidelines. Due to the volume of traffic, we are unable to follow up on individual reports.

I'm a little dubious about how up to date the page is, since the next paragraph says (bolding is mine):

If you want us to investigate potential abuse, please provide the URL to the exact user review and include the author's name and review's summary via our community platform Get Satisfaction
and URL's to particular reviews were lost 6 months ago when the system was updated.

I then looked at the Help Desk submission form
https://help.imdb.com/contact
and decided the most relevant selection to report your issue may be this:
Fan/Contributor questions > Titles > Title User Reviews

I'd suggest you provide the details of your concerns there, as concisely as possible, and include the contribution number as you did here.

Hi Sarah -

As bedroes instructed above, if you feel that your User Review report was incorrectly rejected and you would like to discuss the inappropriate context further with our staff, the best option is through the contact form outlined above.  Please send us a message in the form and our staff will take another look.
