Contributions not accepted

Anyway, I've noticed that some complex updates get accepted easily, while other simple to prove updates don't get accepted. Unfortunately I deleted a lot of my history but the following corrections I'd like to discuss and prove.

It is not easy to help without specifics, but we will try.  First, please note IMDb policies, operational procedures and processing tools are constantly evolving. If you submitted something in the past and it was not accepted, yet subsequently one of those policies/procedurer/tools have changed then it might be accepted now. This is why we prefer to work with specific examples from actual contributions (and we can more easily adjust things when made aware of a specific mistake). 

Second, please see https://contribute.imdb.com/charter and without knowing any details, the sentences which may most apply in your case might be "We respectfully ask that contributors follow these policies even if they may personally disagree (in which case debate is, of course, encouraged)." and "IMDb tracks each contributor's accuracy over time and if any contributor repeatedly submits data which is inaccurate or which violates our policies, their contributions will require increasing levels of additional proof in order to be processed."

Third, since there seem to be problems, we recommend you ensure you have read all the appropriate guides and policies at https://help.imdb.com/contribution and especially the relevant articles in https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/contribution-information/submission-guides-a-z/GWBAHK9SAM... -- if something is unclear we are always happy to clarify.  We prefer the guides to be as comprehensive and consistent as possible. 

Bearing the above in mind then:

- Credits lists marked as complete, while they aren't. This makes it impossible to add names.

How do you mean? If a title is incorrectly tagged as cast/crew complete, it should (almost always) be possible to override the warning and send any uncredited data anyway or to request the removal the completeness tag, please see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/complete-cast-crew/GMZECKUS8JG34C4J 

- Actors who passed away, but even after providing links, the update isn't accepted.

The most likely issue here will be the validity of the links.  It's not just any link.  Please see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/names-biographical-data/biographical-data-guidelines/GMT9...  specifically "We are looking for links to public records, printed publications, or official documents."

- Credits that should be removed because the actor wasn't in that film, but I can't get it deleted.

It can be difficult to prove a negative, but you can provide screen-grabs of the appropriate sections of the on-screen credit roll here on Get Satisfaction as additional proof, along with the 18-digit contribution number of the rejected updates. - Removing bios that never had permission, or are old/inaccurate, doesn't get accepted.

You say that these contributions can be added, and I can override the warning. Well, I have done that various times, even with detailed explanations and extra comments. Still not accepted. Does this still hurt my accuracy rating?

Most of my contributions about fighters who died are accepted, sometimes with less proof. These weren't even though this happened and I provided various links. Does this count against my contributor accuracy?

Deleting incorrect credits:
* 180628-155118-564000 Georges Bejue isn't in those movies. Eddy Pinto is. They look very different but somehow they got mixed up. I was able to add Eddy Pinto seperately, but can't get Bejues deleted. The short movie with credits is here: http://www.michaelbchait.com/videos/dreamworld/ . Same for the other movie "Lovers".

* 180826-082759-811000 Just submitted it again, with extra explanation and a link in the comment section. This again is a correction that is 100% true, but not accepted. Does this count against my ratio?

Removing/adjusting bios:
I wish to remove a number of bios, but I try to respect your guidelines and settled with writing a new bio for various people in which only incorrect or sensitive info is removed or replaced. Dozens have been accepted except for the following three:

180812-220709-927000
180812-220156-285000
Strangely enough I feel I did enough to keep the bio intact, and only remove info of which it's certain to be incorrect or inaccurate (because of age, these are over 13 years old).

There is much more, but that may come later. I appreciate the effort and hope this will lead to the approval of various submissions which I know to be correct.

180628-155118-564000 - looks like there has been come confusion on this name page with multiple name merges in the past. I've now removed these credits.
180826-082759-811000 - thank you for the added comments, this has now been approved

The bio submissions are removing factual information, therefore have been rejected correctly.

Now Removing is not an option. I have Re-written many. None have been rejected. Have even done clean ups. Poor grammar, etc. Permission is not needed to write a bio either. Yes I do agree that some are absolutely horrid. You would think that whomever took the time to write it, would keep an eye on their work. Update it. Polish it. Love it! It's your baby. You made it. You take care of your flock. Most people that do bios just seem to make as many as possible. Hit and run types. Boo hiss!

I’m having the same problem as well. These people aren’t talking my requests seriously even though I’m trying to do the right thing.
