I wonder if you would know how companies are able to transfer their stills from their site to IMDb, when editing a title I go down to "Copyright Holder" and do the symbol ©, along with the company but it doesn't after waiting for about a week or so. How do companies do this and was wondering if users are able to do it.

Picture will help with what I'm talking about!

The Copyright section in the Edit page is for listing who holds the copyright on the film, as noted in the Submission Guide: Copyright Holder.  It only contains the name of the holder (person or company) and has no connection with the photos

Pictures are added through the Publicity Services. This is a paid service, which currently charges a fee of $10 US per photo ($35 for the primary poster). Only people authorized by the production are permitted to add photos via this service.
