Correct ordering for writers listed as a collective

What is the correct ordering number when a write is listed as a group of people instead of individuals? This is probably most noticeable on something like Netflix's Stranger Things which has the credit "created by The Duffer Brothers".

The current credit looks like this:

Matt Duffer (created by) (as The Duffer Brothers) 1,1,1
Ross Duffer (created by) (as The Duffer Brothers) 1,1,2

Is this the correct way? I know it is a minor detail but just curious. I would think both should have the order of "1,1,1" (which would also enforce the alphabetization of the names). There are at least a few other shows that have similar credits such as "Wrecked" and a show on SyFy that I can't remember right off.

Hi Adrian -

These writer credit scenarios are not very common, as such we are flexible regarding the order numbers when individuals are credited in groups, so the current order is correct (1,1,1 and 1,1,2), though the brother names could be assigned to either number:

Matt Duffer (created by) (as The Duffer Brothers) 1,1,1
Ross Duffer (created by) (as The Duffer Brothers) 1,1,2

or

Ross Duffer (created by) (as The Duffer Brothers) 1,1,1
Matt Duffer (created by) (as The Duffer Brothers) 1,1,2

We would be accepting of either for this scenario in which they are credited together as "The Duffer Brothers".
