Correcting Filmography Credits

I see I'm not alone in my frustration in trying to correct filmography credits. I have had IMDB decline my request to remove my name from a film that I not only did not work on, but was shot in a country I've never been to and in a language I don't speak. It was erroneously entered years ago and despite numerous requests to correct it, as if IMDB knows 'better' what I worked on and didn't. Another show lists my occupation as 'second unit', when it should read 'second unit sound mixer'. Apparently IMDB believes 'second unit' is a one-person occupation, because they've also repeatedly turned down my request to correct that one too. Those aren't the only ones either.
What's even more infuriating is the fact I've been paying $28 a month for the last 5 years and I don't even know what for. There's obviously some robot dealing with their contribution zone and nobody from the contact centre replies to my concerns via email. I'm thinking of talking to a lawyer to get some of my money back.

Ian, could you post all your contribution numbers here for the past rejected contributions please.
You can find those 18 digit numbers here at,
or here

Hi Ian,

Please provide us with the submission reference number for your deletion requests and we can look into this further for you.

Thank you Ed and Meridith for reaching out regarding this very frustrating and ongoing issue. The reference numbers are as follows:

200610-170145-061000 - deletion
200610-170858-526000 - deletion
200610-170456-213000 - correction
200609-191705-696000 - correction

That last one btw contains incorrect occupation info that pertains to 44 other episodes of that same show. When the first several submissions were rejected on one episode, I of course didn't continue with the other 43...

Thanks again for any help you can provide.

Thank you, whoever was able to resolve reference numbers 200610-170145-061000 (deletion) and
200610-170858-526000 (deletion). Any progress on 200610-170456-213000 (correction) and
200609-191705-696000 (correction)? I've resubmitted these edits numerous times, attempting different wording even, only to have them declined. The current job descriptions are invalid. Whoever is making a judgement on whether to approve or decline these submissions has obviously never been on a film set in their life.

Hi Ian -

I can see that your credit update for the "Once Upon a Time" episode was updated, however, your "Smallville" episode credit correction was not approved.  Do you have a screen grab of your on-screen credit to help verify the correct credit?
