Correcting a title because the year is incorrect

I would like the title Boy and Bicycle (1956) to be changed to Boy and Bicycle (1965) in accordance with its release date. I'm quite surprised it's still not possible to make this sort of correction via a normal submission!

What makes you think it cannot be changed via normal submission? Did you try and get some sort of notice it cannot be updated? It needs to have the release date changed. I just tried it to see if there's a reason it cannot be changed and the release date defaulted to 1965. So, it's possible someone has just submitted a correction request recently and the page has simply not been updated and rebuilt with the correct info. These things take between 2 days and 2 weeks to fully process.

Is it possible you submitted this and it simply hasn't completed the process yet?

It's never been possible to make a change of this kind, without contacting the help desk, or now mentioning it here. If a release date is changed, if appropriate the title should be amended accordingly within a week or three, but I made this correction 6 months ago. My point is that since it's obviously slipped through the net, and there is only one release date, which is at odds with that in the title, it ought to be possible to make this correction through a normal submission. Saves everybody's time.

You could, then, either wait for staff here to forward it to the editor or send a "miscellaneous Correction" for "release date" to see if they can get it unstuck.
