Hello, it was brought it to my attention that some credits that do not belong to me and that date back to before I started my career, are now appearing on my profile. I submitted a 'NAME SPLIT" in order to remove these credits about 2 weeks ago but they're still there ( Contribution #150721-190626-457000 ). I noticed you claim that data submissions now only take 7 days so I decided to contact you in case the claim has fallen through the cracks. Could you please have a rep take a look at this and let me know the status ? Although I never look at my profile I know many studios do and I'd like for it to be as accurate as possible. I also requested info on how to post an "official image" under "KNOWN FOR" for a Pilot and series I was Supervising Director on called "City Hunters" ( some of my most recent work ) and a short I worked on called "Tummy Trouble". The only correct image that appears now is "Simpsons" which I was a Director on, the others are wrong and misleading and I'm assuming will automatically be removed when the credit corrections are made. If you do not have an official image for City Hunters I would be happy to provide you with one. Thanks for your assistance.

They don't usually fall through the cracks. The items not being corrected after two weeks means the submission was rejected and/or could not be verified. So checking here would be the right thing to do.
Known for titles are generated by automation based on the titles in your filmography. So you cannot choose which titles will appear there.
See: "Known For" Credits Top Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, the if the titles being removed are among your "known for," they'll be changed to other titles as long as your filmography qualifies based on how many titles and whether they have posters.
For information on how to add a poster, see IMDb Poster Services
Tummy Trouble already has a poster image. To have it appear as a "known for," it would have to be chosen by the system based on the criteria listed on the FAQ page linked above.
Staff can check on the status of your Contribution #150721-190626-457000 but in the mean time, if you post the contents of the emailed receipt you receive when you made the submission, data contributors here might be able to suggest ways to change it to have it be more likely to be accepted. There is a chance that it was done wrong because an actual "split" would only be done, as the edit form states, when there is a split between departments. Like if you're a director and your page gets merged with an actor, you'd split off the actor credit to his page or choose to create a new one if there's no way to figure out to whom the credit refers.
I assume Carlos Baeza (I) is you. And the titles needing correction are
BraveStarr, Ghostbusters, Heavy Metal, Starchaser: The Legend of Orin
and any more?

If that's the page about you, I submitted to change your City Hunters credit to the Directors section and out of the Miscellaneous category.

Thanks for that info. Your right about the titles you listed that need correction:
"BraveStarr, Ghostbusters, Heavy Metal, Starchaser: The Legend of Orin
and any more?"
There's is an additional one that you missed: "Beany and Cecil". The thing is how do you have them removed if it "can't be verified" by staff ? I mean you have no way to contact them directly and they're well aware it's me contacting them because it's my password, my email. To me this makes no sense and is very frustrating at the same time, when you, the artist, are attempting to alert them to inaccuracies in your profile. Unfortunately there are several people with the same name who these credits can possibly be attributed to but are probably unaware ( or just don't care ) because they were so long ago. It may be it's just plain "difficult" to have credits moved and they don't want to deal with it. Or worse, what I suspect is it belongs to someone who no longer works in the business. You say that they only allow a "Name Split" when for example you are the director and the other persons an actor but what about when you share the same profession, (as in this case) what happens then ? They should at least let you move those credits with a submission as they claim you can do. Do you know of a better way to have these credits removed because short of staff seeing my post it seems like contacting someone directly is going to be next to impossible ? As I mentioned, I've already asked for a "Name Split" to a new profile "Carlos Baeza (VII)" so someone can claim it later. Thanks, I appreciate your help.

Yes. I think, for now anyway, it'll still default to "Redux." The system picks the most well-known titles, then at least two need to have posters. So, as long as those selected four titles have at least two (and yours is three, at least), it'll go ahead with those titles.
The selections can change over time, though.

That's too bad you can't choose what appears under "KNOWN FOR" since that is where your eye goes first. I'd prefer to have City Hunters featured more prominently since it's more recent. I think I'll submit the image and we'll see what happens. You say it may change over time, maybe it will.

They're really displaying what is attracting the most clicks (therefore it can easily change over time).
See "Known For" Credits Top Frequently Asked Questions for more info about "known fors."
I understand what you're saying though.

BTW, could you provide me the link to the page where you made the submission. I'd like to have it for future reference in case I ever encounter this problem again. Did you have to give any special instructions or anything in a note or did you just submit the changes as is ? Thanks !.

Each page of the database has it's own "edit page" form. So, to move all episodes listed, for one person's filmography, you go to his page, click "edit page" and select to correct "acting" for example, credits. Then in this case, I used the box to "show name" so the list will include an editable field for the name, then pasted in the name to move the credits to.
If it's simple and one title, just click "edit page" on that title's page and choose "actor" or "animation" dept, then edit the entry for the name involved to replace the old with the new name.
In the case with your list, it meant choosing "Carlos (VIII)" since there isn't a clear indication that list of credits went to any of the other Carlos's, which created a new page with all those moved credits. Carlos (II) is mostly a production manager, (IV) and (VI) are actors, etc. So moving it to those would probably be a mistake.
If it's regarding your work and your page, it's best to describe the reason for the change and not to explain what your submitting...so, in this case, click the box to provide an explanation and say something like, "I am Carlos (I) but did not work on these titles, but it looks like someone's page got merged to mine."
You could also put a link there, if it helps. Like if your name isn't in the credits, but some other guy's is, you'd say, "I am Carlos (I) and didn't work on these titles, here's a screen shot of the credit that it should have been added as Carlos Barga (or whatever name it was)." But what you'd explain depends on the situation.
But basically, every name or title page has an "edit button." There's not one main form. Clicking it on that page will allow the submission to refer directly to the right title or name.
