In my opinion, I think it would rather neat to create pages dedicated to production companies. So for example, just like you would have a dedicated page of a famous actor (e.g. Tom Cruise), you would have the same for each major production company (e.g. Warner Bros). On each page, you would then find the list of all the movies produced by it and other relevant information, including Merger & Acquisition. This last part might be essential as to provide legitimacy to create a page for those companies that have been bought or merged with other production houses. So for example, you would still have a page dedicated to 21st Century Fox, specifying its date of creation 1980 (don't know when it was founded) till 2017 - now acquired by Disney.
