I have a new user profile created on IMDB. I have had crew credits in a few films but they are not linked to my profile. For example I did have my name 'Sumit Pokarna" mentioned at the end of Film "Goosebumps' and "San Andreas" but when I go to the film page Cast and Crew it does not show. How can I find my credit and link it to my profile.. Hope this makes sense

When you say you "created" a "profile," do you mean a Name Page, part of the database of film information or do you simply mean you signed up and made a User Profile for using features of the site?

My User Profile is, for example, www.imdb.com/user/ur10114372/ (note that it says "user" in the address).

A Name Page, representing someone with credits in film/tv is www.imdb.com/name/nm0644022/ (note that is says "name" in the address).

Did your credits appear in the on screen credits for those titles? Is there currently a Name Page in your name that lists "credited" work?

If the credits have not been submitted or listed yet, you won't yet find them.  If you or someone has submitted them, but they don't appear, can you provide the submission Reference Number(s) so staff can check on status?  If they have not been submitted by anyone yet, that'd be the first thing to do.

Can you provide more information? Beginning, preferably with your name as it appears in credits and/or on IMDb and provide links to the Name Page and/or the "profile" you mention, so others can see what type of page you're talking about.

Since credits for, San Andreas, for example are loooonnnggg, can you suggest what type of credit you're talking about other than just cast/crew.

Specific and accurate guidance depends greatly on specific information.

Thanks for that prompt response.
Yes I have created a user profile http://www.imdb.com/user/ur64147108/

I am not sure how I can create Name Page profile. Do I have to sign up for Pro or that
I was told by the studios I worked that names have been submitted as I do see some credits of people in my team who have them.

I did also see them on-screen for the above mentioned films
They should be under the Visual Effects category for both the films, as Roto / Paint artist for san Andreas and Compositor for Goosebumps, under Hydraulx studio. They should appear as 'Sumit Pokarna'

I do believe the movie production may have submitted these but not sure how I can find them.
Please advise

Sumit

So, yes, http://www.imdb.com/user/ur64147108/ is a User Account, for your use only, for navigating and using features of the site (including submitting missing credits, etc.).  It will not display credits itself...those need to be on a Name Page.

There are two ways to create a Name Page.  Either your name would be added to the cast/crew list of a film or show in which the name has appeared in on screen credits (uncredited work won't work...it needs to first be "credited" work only).

The second way is to use your User Account and subscribe to IMDbPro, then choosing to create a new Name Page rather than "claim" and existing page.  One will be made with no credits.  That name when, added to the cast/crew for a title, will then display that/those credit(s).

I don't see the name "Sumit Pokarna" so there are not credits in that name for either title as of yet.

The company name, however, is listed. So that leads me to believe that that is how the credit appeared on screen.  If you think your name, specifically, appeared on screen, post a screen capture of the name in the credits here and we can certainly get that listed. Both titles are available online. I have San Andreas on disc but am not at home for a couple weeks, probably and can't provide a screen shot yet. But if you can do a screen shot of your name in the credits, upload them here with the little camera icon.

If your name does not appear on screen, once you have at least one "credited" entry on IMDb, these two might be able to get an "uncredited" listing approved.

Hello,
Much thanks to bluesman for the prompt reply and also to ljdoncel for doing that for me. You are amazing thanks
Hope this helps me further advance my query. I guess this should get my first credit started so I can dig out a few more credits to get listed

Thanks

Sumit: In case you haven't done so yet, please make sure to submit your credits the regular way, by going to the page for each film, clicking "Edit page", and going through the process to submit your credit to the Visual Effects department.

For San Andreas, it looks like your job should be listed as:
paint & rotoscope: hy*drau"lx

And for Goosebumps, it looks like your job should be listed as:
compositor: Vitality Visual Effects

Good luck!
