Credit not appearing

I've been waiting over 3 weeks for a credit to appear for the CWs Jane The Virgin. I see all other cast listed but not mine. I was not background. It was a SAG/AFTRA job, and it's about to air on Monday. I'd really like my credit to appear before the show airs but who do I contact? IMDB doesn't show any method of reaching people. It was an important scene, with main characters and despite my official character name in the script "Boy In Elevator", this is an actual title, not a made up one:)

You can/should post your submission's reference number so staff can check for problems.

If there are none, it could be they could not verify the data and you'd probably have to wait to provide a screen shot of the credits, showing your name, to have it added.

IMDb primarily documents what's in the on screen credits for film and tv. So it's not unusual for them to wait until the credits have become public to add to the title and name pages. Especially if the list shown was submitted by production and your name was not included.

Unless you have documentation that states you're to be credited on screen, the best you could probably do is submit it as "uncredited," then change it if your name is listed on screen when it airs.

The way to contact people is to either submit the data via the "edit page" form and it goes to the page editors or to post here.

Thank you! I had no idea that they actually looked here. Thought it was more like a community support /venting area.

Ok, so here are my now 2 submission reference numbers....

151102-062418-123000
151118-210903-417000

This is definitely not an uncredited role and I do have a contract and will be happy to send or have manager send, once I know where to send.

Thank you!

Hi Bradley Bundlie -

I was able to review the submissions you referenced for "Boy In Elevator", I noted that you submitted this as a regular on-screen credit, can you clarify if you were credited on-screen for this role (meaning your name was credited on-screen for this episode)?

If not, you will need to submit the credit with the 'uncredited' attribute.  If you were credited on-screen , can you post a screen grab of the credit here so our staff can take a look?

I've been adding my credits for years and never had to verify anything.  You can provide on screen credit proof if the show hasn't appeared yet.  Alot of people use IMdb as their online resume to show to prospective employers.  I myself have come to a screeching hault with my credits.  I submitted 4 in the last 3 weeks and nothing myself.  I'm quite frustrated because I'm paying for a service that is inconsistent with it's editorial submission process.

I think you mean "can't" and that's true. No one has ever implied that you can. IMDb documents what has appeared on screen, though. So, unless you can provide some documentation that implies you'll receive on screen credits, you might have to wait and provide it when it has been released.

Alot (sic) of people use IMdb as their online resume to show to prospective employers.
While that may be true, the site has 250,000,000 unique visitors that want to see accurate info. So, if something cannot be verified by page editors, they'll need to see some proof (and I think you meant, "a lot"...sorry, pet peeve of mine).

Nothing in IMDb's mission nor description suggests Name Pages of the site are "resumes." They do offer one and you certainly could enter these, unless/until they can be verified by page editors, on a resume page connected to the Name Page in your name (via IMDbPro).

...I'm paying for a service that is inconsistent with it's editorial submission process.
If you mean that you subscribe to IMDbPro, it does not include, nor imply, nor advertise, any privilege regarding submission of data. It all goes through the same process regardless of membership in the resume program.

Good luck!

Hey bluesmanSF thanks for your reply.  I actually pay for IMdb Resume though....and up until a couple weeks ago I've never had a problem getting my credits added...now all of a sudden none of them are being added.

J Bell,

I understand...you've mentioned it a few times and threatened to cancel. Whether you do or not, it has no influence on credit submissions. I can't see how it's got any place in the conversation. Either a submission is accept or not (most often because it could not be verified).

I would keep your issues and comments in one thread...the one about your personal issue at https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/my-credits-are-not-being-submitted
