For over two years I have been trying to add a credit for a feature film I was in. While my sceene was deleted from the movie. I still receive residuals. Shouldn't I be able to at least get credit on imdb as a "deleted scene" or "uncredited"?
If you're not visible in the film, or credited in the movie credits, then you are unfortunately not eligible for a credit. The attribute "scenes deleted", which you might come across on some titles usually refer to people who are actually listed in the movie credits, despite their scene having been deleted from the movie. An example of that that springs to mind is Bruce Campbell in The Quick and the Dead. He's not in the movie, but listed in the actual movie credits, which makes him eligible for a credit on the IMDb page.
Some quotes from those pages:
"Whenever possible, and with a few exceptions, we list credits exactly as they appear on screen."
"For cast/acting appearances, you must be identifiable and featured on-screen in the final released cut of the film."
The latter has baffled me some times, because the part about "the final released cut" only applies to the original theatrical version. I've come across people who are actually credited in extended or director's cuts of movies, but aren't allowed to be listed on IMDb because they were not in the theatrical version.
What it boils down to is that you're unfortunately probably not eligible for an IMDb credit for this work.
