Credit Order

Hi,

I'd like to add an EDITOR credit from a film I worked on with another Editor.  Their name is already on IMDB for the film.  From my past experience, the person who adds their name last usually gets the top credit, but this would be incorrect as, per our title sequence and contacts, the other Editor's name should go first.

So how do I add my name, but make sure it is listed UNDER theirs?

Thank you :)

I believe that currently only the cast section can have the credits ordered as they appear on screen. In the case of editors, I believe the sequence of appearance on IMDb is alphabetical.

Close.

Writers can also be sequenced (as can Companies), but other than that Crew is listed alphabetically in each section.

Wow, that's insanely frustrating.  Thank you both so much for your help.

You know, I'm not sure if the answers above are entirely correct, as I can see other joint Editor credits on other pages that are NOT in alphabetical order.  Can anyone else help please?

You know what... I realized I was looking at a TV show, and they ordered it not alphabetically, but by who did the most episodes.  So I guess they do it differently for TV.

TV Series normally have no credits entered for them. The credits are listed in the various episodes and these are then 'rolled up' to create the Series level credits.

The Series level credits are listed by number of episodes, but the actual credits are listed alphabetically in the Episodes.

Note that the order by episode count is also true for Cast and Writers, who actually have Order numbers in the underlying episodes.

There is another adjustment made. (Uncredited) items are usually listed after those without that attribute.

However, the basic point is, there is no way for the user to adjust the sequence of credits except for Cast and Writers; the sequence is fully automated.

It would be good to add the ability to order credits of key rolls, such as editing,  cinematography etc because these two departments at least, often have more than one person filling the role, one of them more prominent than the others.

IMDB has become the lasting, easily accessible 'go to' document for credit information whereas the film's credit roller can only be seen in cinemas for a limited time or other media later in a less efficient way. Hence the request.
Thanks
