When you do a search it lists ALL of the first actors credits instead of just those where he/she is credited along side the other actor.  In other words when I search  Cary Grant & Irene Dunn the search turns out everything that Cary Grant ever did. Am I missing something?

Thanks for any help you can give. I've searched and nothing suggests a solution for this problem (unless I didn't search deep enough, in that case I am sorry!)

Can you link to the page you are searching from?

If I use: advanced search, collaborations and overlaps, two people working together; I end up on this page:
http://www.imdb.com/search/common

Fill the names in the box and than you have to pick from the drop down list to verify who you are referring to (in case more than one actor shares similar names). Then push the search button and I get a list of 3 films, a documentary and a tv special: http://www.imdb.com/search/title?roles=nm0000026,nm0002050&title_type=feature,tv_episode,video,t...

My Favorite Wife, The Awful Truth, Penny Serenade, George Stevens: A Filmmaker's Journey, and The 31st Academy Awards

---
Note from that page you have two sets of search functions. The top set is for Common Cast/Crew between titles. Entering names gives you a drop down menu of every film a person has done and than you select which films from the lists of both people you want to compare and it looks to see if any other cast/crew were in both films.

The second set of search boxes is to find "two people working together" and gives you only the shows both of them are credited in (after you pick who they are from the drop down verification)
---

Is there some other place to access this type of search function that is broken? Please post the link

I just had this problem myself a few mins ago: trying to find Bob Hope next to Alan Ladd, who was uncredited in the film I was searching for, My Favorite Brunette (found it by using Google but usually the IMDB search is faster & more specific!). The search turned up this list: http://www.imdb.com/search/title?roles=nm0001362,&title_type=feature,tv_episode,video,tv_movie,t...

I don't know how you got that URL as you didn't say, but it looks as though you didn't properly include Alan Ladd.

I had already gone to Bob Hope's page, so I clicked on Credited with in the expanded (Explore More) Quick Links menu.

I then keyed Alan Ladd in the  Search box, and clicked on the first Alan Ladd in the list that appeared, and finally clicked on the Search button.

This produced the URL  http://www.imdb.com/search/title?roles=nm0001362,nm0000042&title_type=feature,tv_episode,video,tv_movie,tv_special,mini_series,documentary,game,short,unknown

As you can see, this includes two n-consts, one for each actor, unlike the one you posted. Did you make sure that you had selected Alan Ladd and that his name (and n-const) were properly in the text entry box? Or did you perhaps click on the [X] in that box? This removes the name, in case you selected the wrong one by accident.
