When trying to add my credits for projects I have worked on, my name is not coming up in the search bar. How do I fix this problem? I have emailed IMDb support and they replied with a general statement that did not help. Can anyone help me with this please?

You can enter your name id in that search bar.

If your Name page were
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000001/
then your name id would be 
nm0000001

When I entered my name Id in the search bar nothing came up as well. My member id is schance-99711 but nothing comes up when entering that or my name.

schance-99711 is your user-id for IMDb, not something that is searchable for Names given credits.

Where are you searching? If you use the search box atop nearly every IMDb page, and focus on names, it looks like this:

(I'm guessing on "simone chance"; you didn't actually say what you're searching for.)

No links are provided at the end of this list for "more names" or "exact name matches", so if this IS your name, it's not on IMDb yet. Just creating a login account is doesn't do it.

Thank you.... I have went in and added my name to the positions and I believe that added the first time credits will cause my name to populate in the search engine once they are approved. I really appreciate your help. Do you know if once this happens will I be issued an IMDb address that will be link to my profile?

I just did the search I showed you above.
And now you're at the top of that search. (Good job having a unique name on IMDb.)

IMDb is really fast about updating some things. Obviously you dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's, and your submission sailed right through.
