Now I am seeing my credits from Outer limits, Poltergeist TV series and others are no longer on my credit list? Why have they been removed?

Hey Shauna,

Thanks for your post.

I've taken a look into this and can see some X-Files credits were recently removed as we were unable to confirm if they are factual. In order to help our staff verify the credit, we
suggest you obtain a screen grab of the credit and post it in this thread for review.

If you are not listed in the end credits and you cannot provide us a the information requested above, instead
please provide us with any pay stubs and/or call sheets for review and
we will look into this further for you - also please be aware that if
approved onto the website you will be listed with the additional
attribute '(uncredited)' to reflect that your name was not listed in the
end credits.

You can submit any contracts or pay stubs via a more secure means,
please upload these screengrabs or data somewhere on the Web where we
can access it (we recommend a free image hosting service like imgur.com)
and send us the links/URLs pointing to it via the following process:

1) Find your original submission in your update history at http://www.imdb.com/updates/history

2) Verify that all the data is still valid. If you need to update/amend the information, you can do so and resubmit the entry.

3) Make a note of the update reference number (it's the number composed of three groups of 6 digits separated by dashes, e.g. 121027-090001-134000)

4) Go to this page: http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/data_verification

5) Fill in the form with all the information (the update reference
number and all the URLs pointing to the additional verification for that
submission). At least one link is mandatory. If you have more than
three, use the 'comment' field to add them.

6) Enter any additional information, comment or feedback in the 'comment' field. The more data/evidence you supply, the better.

7) Submit the form.

For more information on the attribute 'uncredited' please see the following:

Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

Joel

Hi Joel,
In 2009 my home was destroyed by a fire and all my belongings perished. I have called IATSE 891 in hopes the shows are on my file. As most TV shows only list the department head and reg 1st assistant, I was not listed on the scrolling credits, so would not be possible to screen capture them. I will do what I can to get the info to you but I can honestly say I am extremely disappointed after all theses years they have been removed.
Thank you for the info and I will try all avenues to get this info to you as theses I worked hard on those shows and the credit is very deserved!
Happy holidays,

Hi Shauna -

I was able to see that our editors received the information you provided in the HelpDesk form, however, in order to list the credits we will need to see verifiable evidence.

If your name wasn't credited on-screen and you are certain that your credits are eligible as per our guidelines here,  you can provide verification such as proof of employment (pay stubs or receipts, call sheets, contracts) showing that you worked on the production, mentions of the your role on the production in media articles from reputable third party sources, or screen grabs of where you are clearly identifiable on-screen.

You can post any evidence you feel comfortable sharing publicly here, or you can send your evidence privately to IMDb staff through the Data Evidence form here.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled My IATSE CREDIT LIST.

I have submitted my IASTE credit list which is the film union that employ's us for each show. Sadly you denied my submission so as requested her is a screen capture of 2 of 24 pages and  the list sent from the IASTE office. Where the credit says unclassified.... it was Make up FX position.

Hi Shauna -

Unfortunately, the screen grabs you provided listing the credited roles/titles are not enough to verify your credits.  Can you post further evidence (paystubs, call sheets, production stills where you are identifiable on-screen, etc.)?

As mentioned above, you can also provide evidence privately to IMDb staff through the Data Evidence form here.

Hi Michelle,
Thank you for getting back to me. I'm not sure if you are aware, but theses credits that have been removed are over 20 years old. I have given my credit list from my IATSE 891 days and this is the film union that dispatched me out for these shows. I don't know anyone who has pay stubs from 20 years ago let alone call sheets.
This link you provided I sent the list and then I was told I had to post it here. You company makes it extremely difficult to get any info to them. The reason my credits were removed was because I was not listed on the screen credit. So it's becoming a catch 22.
Do you have a direct email to send forms too.... because If I get all this info from the pay roll company it will be extensive and more that can be posted here or on your form to fill out.
I would deeply appreciate an email address so I can send all this info. I am so upset that IMDB would do this to me after all theses years so any additional assistance would be greatly appreciated.  PS there is no reference number that I can submit also, so I don't know where this comes from?
Thank you

Hi Shauna -

Please note that we cannot accept e-mailed evidence, we can only review credit evidence that is provided within the online Data Verification form, or any information/screen grabs you post on this thread.

I was able to see that the credits removed for "The X Files" and "The Outer Limits" were previously listed at the series level, if you are unable to provide evidence to help verify your work on the series, I would encourage you to try re-submitting your episode credits again with the 'uncredited' attributes, if the updates are not accepted you will then need to wait until you can provide valid verification of your work on both series titles before we can re-list the credits.

Hi Michelle,
I have contacted the pay roll companies and they do not hold records after 7 years. I don't understand why my IATSE 891 credits are not acceptable as this is the Union that dispatches us for the film jobs. I did spend the hours and re submitted the shows including X Files that I was working on and it was rejected again. It seems your company makes it impossible for the true artist to be recognized. Trying to get info that is over 20 years old is not possible. I feel extremely violated now having to go though theses hoops, only  to get rejected again for work I gave my life passionately too.

Hi Shauna -

Unfortunately, the screen grab you posted was too small for our staff to review the documents captured,  please make sure that the image capture of the document is accessible and the content legible and our staff will be happy to take a look.
