First off, full disclosure. I am extremely angry and feel incredibly frustrated by (what I feel) is a ridiculously unfair vote bomb of my film 'No Joke.' However, that does not make this post the ravings of some slighted paranoiac.
I have done some research the past number of hours into this vote bombing phenomena that IMDB has obviously failed dismally at trying to solve. And after reading several threads on the subject, one name kept cropping up again and again.
DAN DASSOW.
If you search 'rating bomb' on this IMDB community forum you will see Dan Dassow repeating the same pointless tripe over and over again about how the voting system is complex and that it needs time to truly find a clear consensus. Over-explanation is clearly a clear indicator of guilt and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Dan Dassow is the damage control that IMDB has employed to simply mute the issue into submission by boring complainants with contradictory and confusing facts. But heck, he SYMPATHIZES with you so clearly he is one of the good guys, no? Disgraceful.
And...
What is extremely interesting is that CLEARLY the same system that allows the voice of the majority to be muted by a single 'elite' IMDB voter allows for Dan Dassow (a rating bomb apologist) to determine that he has solved the issue by claiming that an issue on a thread has been 'answered.' Who voted Dan's response as being the penultimate answer and thusly rendering any further discussion moot on the thread that I started? Wow, take a gander.
I would be lying if I said that I look forward to Dan Dassow responding to this thread as clearly he will employ the same tactics (in confusing the score bombing issue) with why he is clearly is NOT a IMDB stooge apologist. The more I look into this the more disgusted and angry I become. Clearly IMDB is corrupt to its core and I implore all fellow filmmakers to avoid pumping anymore money into this broken black hole of a company...

You are understandably upset that someone has score bombed your film. Score bombing has been a problem on IMDb for a long time. Many users and I have complained about score bombing and users rating films without seeing them.
I originally did not respond to this thread because I saw it as counter productive. I wanted to give you an opportunity to delete your post. Once someone responds to a users post on Get Satisfaction, the user cannot delete their post. However, a person with administrative rights on Get Satisfaction can delete posts and threads.
I do not have administrative rights on IMDb's Get Satisfaction site. Only designated IMDb staff members and Get Satisfaction employees have administrative rights. If you would like your post and/or this thread deleted you could request make that request.
