I would like to understand why is the birthdate of Mariah Carey 1969 instead of 1970 on IMDB, 1970 being apparently the "official" year of her birth ?

I have no idea how long the 1969 date has been up on IMDb it is accompanied by a pretty detailed biography piece which gives it some authenticity; however there are little to no true public records to which to refer. While the internet has multiple 1970 dates, none of them are official. It is likely that until someone can point to a truly "official" date of birth, the 1969 date will remain.
