How can i see what date i have rated some movie? Within 1 year, it only shows "7 months ago", "3 months ago" etc, until you get to like 1 year mark, when it starts showing the exact dates. So today it shows "6 october 2012" But if it is a film i rated "7 october 2012" it won't say that until tomorrow, so now it just says 11 months ago.

Is there someone i can change this?

I'd like to know this too. It would be better if it just showed the actual date across the line.

Yes i think it would be better too, this seems like a very weird method. I think most if not all similar sites like criticker or rotten tomatoes show the day you ranked or rated the film.

There's no way for users to have the rated date automatically show up. One inefficient workaround - every time you rate a movie you could add a comment with the date.

Perhaps a stupid question, but how do you make a comment when you rate a film?

Oh, wow - I guess you can't. I was assuming that the "Your Ratings" list had the same functionality as the Watchlist or the other lists you can create - that you could edit the list to add comments. But apparently the IMDb doesn't allow comments there. That's weird and unfortunate.

I did suggest an idea for adding a comment to a list when adding something to it on their page (as you can with checkins) and this functionality could also work for ratings (so you could add a quick mini-review that'd display alongside the rating on that list):

Which, as I point out there, fits with this suggestion to allow comments on ratings lists:
