You really need to add Hobbs and Shaw... was looking forward to that all year and was gravely disappointed.
Terminator Genisys was pretty durn good!  Godzilla 2 was terrible, but in the best way!  I guess the one I enjoyed least was Geostorm.

Kept flipping my decision!!! LOL
It is out because of $722 million gross at the box office.
Most everything on the list is at $100M (Give or take) Most are below $100M

To me, money has nothing to do with it - a movie can make a bundle of cash because people wanna see it, but that doesn't mean the people came out of the theater feeling good about their ticket purchase.  :)

The title is "Underachieving Movies"
Not "Underachieving according to Narnia"
If you were a big time movie critic and had a published article, well then I'd make a poll on movies you did not like.
I don't like Twin Peaks. But, I would not put it in nor make a poll based on my personal dislikes.

Of course.  I'm not trying to push my own opinion, I just thought I'd remind you not to just look at grosses, but ratings.  :)

You call these films popular but by their failure (or middling ticket sales) box office, doesn't that prove that a lot AREN'T popular. Wouldn't it be better to call them highly anticipated movies instead of popular?

And what numbers beyond the IMDb score do you use to determine several of the nontheatrical released Netflix movies ... as Netflix doesn't release numbers to most of their original films on their streaming service.

I think what Ed is saying is that the films were anticipated and pretty everyone saw them, but they just left most of the audience feeling like something was missing.  I got that with Endgame and Murder Mystery.

out of the ones i've seen, i would say fantastic four...but...i'm sure if i were ever braindead enough to watch something that starred adam sandler or channing tatum, they would be in a tie for first place....

Ed, you must include the live actions of Disney, they have probably been one of the most popular events of the decade, however, they have not been as good as the originals.

There were 444 movies that fit the criteria.
Pick one you think was the most under-performing and I'll put it in.

Probably Dumbo, I think it is the one with the lowest rating.

My opinion is very unpopular and not on the list: These are for me the 2 most overrated movies of all the cinema history.

To be honest, even mainstream Hollywood movies still surprise me from time to time, but independent and international movies are a way to go if you want more of "small scale" movies as well as just different movies.

That and... God, there are virtually millions of movies already made, most of which are relatively obscure. I discover something new every single day and often it's more than worth the watch!

Yes, some independent, international movies are pretty bad, but many others are amazing!  The scariest (not just goriest, but scariest) movie I've ever seen is an independent movie, and the best fantasy films of the 2010's and foreign - made for T.V. foreign at that!

Just saw this comment, lol!
Here's some of the movies I mentioned:
Big Bad (2016)
I Am Dragon (2015)
La belle et la bête (2014)
Prinzessin Maleen (TV Movie 2015)
Die Gänsemagd (TV Movie 2009)
Sechse kommen durch die ganze Welt (TV Movie 2014)

There's tons more part of the TV movie series I can't wait to see.  Unfortunately, since they are German they are harder to find, except for here and there on YouTube.  Luckily I know most of the stories so I know what's going on without understanding what they say.  It's so cool to hear another language, though.  ;)
