So I submitted a goof deletion for the movie Leaving Las Vegas that was declined and the reason given makes no sense to me. The goof in question is labeled as a character error and the description explains that a bartender in the movie called Ben (Nicholas Cage's character) Bill instead of Ben. I came across the goof when I went to the site in the middle of watching the movie to submit a different goof I noticed. So I went back to that scene and confirmed that the bartender calls Ben pal, not Bill. I even turned on the closed captioning on my tv to double check that he said pal, not Bill and I was correct. So I submitted the goof deletion which was declined and the reason given was unable to verify. What I don't understand is if they can't verify that the bartender called him pal how could they verify and accept the goof saying that the bartender called him Bill? It seems that they sometimes just take your word for it when someone submits a goof, but not when someone says the goof is incorrect.
