I have been editing Soundtrack Items for the past month. This has included adding QV links, fixing incomplete/ broken QV links, adding uncredited songwriters, and deleting duplicate items.
In general, the corrections I submit are approved and appear on the Soundtrack pages within two days, though the underlying database entries take a little longer to reflect the changes.
In one area, there appears to be a difficulty.
I have submitted 73 requests for a Soundtrack item to be deleted, but only 55 of these have been approved. The 18 are not the most recent ones, but stretch back until June 20.
All bar one of these outstanding deletion requests were made in conjunction with requests for other edits in soundtrack items.
There is also some inconsistency in the approvals:
"American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story" (2017) – all 10 episodes have one duplicate track, which appears to be the title music. I have submitted requests for the duplicate item to be deleted, but it has only been deleted in Episode 8. There is also a second duplicate track in Episode 4, that is yet to be deleted.
"Every Little Movement"
Written by Mario Grigorov & Dwight Batteau
Long Strange Trip (2017) – there were three duplicate tracks that I submitted for deletion, but only one has been. The other two are still there.
So, the to the point of this –
- Am I just being impatient? Should I wait a little longer for these deletions to occur?
- Could I assume that only the corrections in my submissions were noted and that these deletions have been missed? So, should I re-submit the deletions?
