A movie title was added in duplicate; how do I completely delete a movie title on IMDB?

If there are two titles that refer to the same film, they can be merged with a title correction, correcting one title to the other.

Just to follow-up on Peter's comment about merging the titles, you can do this by using the 'Title Correction' option to change the title of one film to the second. For example, if you know that the pages for Untitled XYZ Project (2006) and ABC Movie, The (2006) refer to the same film, you would go to the page for Untitled XYZ Project (2006), click on the Update/Edit Info button at the bottom of the page, select the 'Title Correction' option and change the title of the film to ABC Movie, The (2006). This will result in a merge of the two titles.

Hi Michelle,

If a previous title has incorrect info (the title itself, director, running time and a few other information have changed), will it create any problems when merged with the "new" title?

I included an explanation line to IMDB when I submitted the merge, stating that I wish to DELETE the previous entry and keep the remaining one as is.  Do you anticipate there will be any problems once the merge happens?

I want to make sure that the "new" page will remain as is, and the previous page will be completely deleted.

Thanks!

Doesn't work on latest version V3.47.  I have 2 entries that already have the same title but there is only one movie with that title.
