Hi Danielle -

I can see that these credits have not been removed because our editors believe that the credits we have listed are factual and should not be removed from the site, as it is our policy not to alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information from our records.

If you are certain that these credits don't belong to you, but belong to a different "Danielle Farrington", you are welcome to submit the applicable credit corrections through our online Update form and request to move them to a separate listing (for "Danielle Farrington (II)"), for further information on splitting credits, please review the following guide: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/how-can-i-move-credits-to-another-pag...#

What evidence are your editors basing their facts on? I am assuring you these are not jobs I have worked on and should not be affiliated with my account. Do I have to contact the production teams/Director from these films to get them to forward you Call Sheets?? to prove I was not on these productions ?? All I want to do is create an accurate IMDB profile and it is proving impossible- Can you please ask your editors to recheck this account - it's so frustrating - I don't know why these are there in the first place ???

Does anyone else run into these difficulties ?? Other people should not have access to editing your account - not in 2019 where inaccurate information can be so easily edited and uploaded but IMPOSSIBLE to correct/amend by the official user ...

Yes hundreds of requests for removal are submitted and denied. Proof is required for removal. Sometimes it's easy to obtain. Sometimes not.

It's not easy to obtain at all - and who has the time ?? Why is proof NOT required in the first place to upload this information? Considering the removal of inaccurate details proves to be IMPOSSIBLE ?? It is very unfair for professionals trying to use the service for what it is there for, I have been with IMDB for YEARS and have not had any hassle until now.

Hi D.
Michelle is a data supervisor. Proof you described above would work. IMDb won't do it. But if you do it and come back here with that proof, they will review your request.
Cheers

I will try and source this information however it is a massive inconvenience  - It is crazy that I am trying to take inaccurate details down from my account and I'm being asked to prove something - I shouldn't have too. If wrong details are uploaded to my account falsifying my work and affiliating work with my name - I should have to right to request for this to be removed without question. Let alone having to prove I did not complete this work !?

I have never been asked for proof to upload credits ( which should be criteria - then we would not have this issue in the first place ) ie. Call Sheet etc... It seems ludicrous that I have to do so ( with information I clearly do not have as was not on the job).

I will endeavour to get these documents but i would still like to know, what information your editors have based refusal of removal on?

I was not expecting so much hassle regarding this issue.

Many Thanks for all help received in advance,

D

Removal requires a higher level of "Proof" than inclusion.
It's unfortunate, but that is for your protection. Since anyone can add data, anyone can request removal. You certainly don't want credits removed without proof from the requester. Also unfortunately there is a very high instance of actors being ashamed of some of their credits. They will ask for removal claiming, "It Was Not Me!" Because of all the others doing this, IMDb has had to ask that all removals have bona fide proof.
Hope that answers your query.
Cheers

I agree that so much proof is needed, I gave up trying to "prove" that Lillie Langtry did not marry Freddie Gebhardt. So that inaccurate info is still out there. It does make us wonder ('us' being people who have tried to remove inaccurate data!) what the standards are for adding data in the first place, since those standards may not exist or are simply too low.

It's like that Star Trek: TNG episode 'The Royale'. You could get in but you had to figure out the puzzle to leave!
