How can I get rid of an alternate name in my profile? IMBD will not currently let me edit this category. How long will it be until I will be able to edit it?

Hi Alax -
This depends, is there a credit listed on your page with that aka name? Can you provide a link to your page so that our staff can take a look?

Yep, you are both correct, currently aka listings cannot be submitted/updated through the online form; unfortunately, we are not yet able to commit to a specific timeframe for the completion of the move of this section to the new system.
Alax - looking at the name page you provided, because there are listed credits under the given aka names (Dave Barrett | David M. Barrett | David McCoy Barrett), if these credits are correct, they will need to remain listed on the page.
However, if these names are incorrectly credited, you can submit a correction for the applicable credits through the online Update form, which our data editors will then review.
So if the credits are listed with an incorrect aka name, you will be able to submit these credit corrections, which upon approval, will remove the aka name listing. Does this make sense?

Maurice,
This is a two-year-old, resolved thread and you should have started a new topic, but if I assume, since you didn't specify, that you're talking about the page for Maurice Nix and the credit under the name Moore, it seems it's listed oddly anyway. Usually "(as...)" credits are not allowed for titles yet to be released since there's no way to know how the credit appears on screen yet.
You should go to the page for the episode carrying the credits, Making Friends (2016), click the "edit page" button, to the right of "Producers" change "no change" to "correct," then click the "continue" button.
To the left of your name, change "keep" to "correct" and click the "check these updates" button.
Remove the attribute of "(as Maurice Moore)," check the box to provide an explanation, then click the "check these updates" button.
Explain it as something like, "I am Maurice Nix and will not be credited as Moore. Also, there should be no "(as...)" attribute as the title is in pre-production and no credits exist yet." Then click the "re-check these updates" and make sure everything looks okay. Background should appear green, as in 'go,' and you should be able to "submit these updates."

Tthe Data Processing Times page indicates that NAKA submissions haven't been processed since April and won't be until Alternative Names is moved to a new system. For that reason IMDb has locked out the Alternative Names form with a (red) error message.
I think the OP wishes to know when the new system will be operational and submissions will be allowed again.
