Deleting Episodes That Don't Exist

Scott: It is possible to transfer episodes from one series to another.

I am not sure which series is which on IMDb, though. "Garfunkel and Oates" (2014/I) at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3484566/ and "Garfunkel and Oates" (2014/II) at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2276413/ are both listed as being 2014 series (as opposed to the HBO series which was from two years ago). And both of them list IFC as their distributor on the respective company credits page (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3484566/companycredits and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2276413/companycredits).

It seems to me that both of the series linked above are the IFC series that comes out in August, and they need to be merged with each other, while I can't find the HBO series in the database at all (except that a couple of its episodes are attached to one of the IFC series' pages).

If you agree with this, then I'm willing to submit the correction to merge those two series (2014/I) and (2014/II) with each other. But I don't have enough information to submit the HBO series to the database; if you do that (start at http://www.imdb.com/updates?update=title), that would be the best strategy.

Once the HBO series is in the database, you can then go to the page for each of the misplaced episodes (such as http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3626384/ for "Third Member") and click "Edit page". On the next screen, near the bottom of the page, on the Episode Title/Number line (fourth from the end), select "Correct". Click "Continue".

On the next screen, you will be able to correct the Series title associated with the episode. Change it to "Garfunkel and Oates" (2012) (or whatever the exact listing for the HBO series is once it is listed in IMDB). You will also want to change the episode number, presumably, and check the box to provide an explanation. Click "Check these updates" and go through the process to complete the submission.

Please let me know if you want me to submit a correction to merge "Garfunkel and Oates" (2014/I) with "Garfunkel and Oates" (2014/II). Or, if you prefer, you can submit it yourself.

Thanks for the speedy reply! Yes, if you think that's the best option then I say go ahead and merge them together and then I'll create a separate HBO series page afterwards.

I do know for a fact that one of the pages did used to list the distributor as HBO 2012, but a misinformed person must have changed it to IFC 2014. Yesterday I submitted a correction to this page http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2276413/ to try to switch the company back to HBO, so I hope that won't mess up this process.

But anyway as I said before, yes please submit a correction to merge both pages! Thank you so much for your help.
