Desktop version cannot be found

For some reason the "view in desktop site" option isn't showing at the bottom of the page anymore. Is anyone else having this issue, or have I missed something? I'm using a Samsung smartphone

Yes, looking at the mobile site, the page footer which used to be there seems to be gone.
