I was Segment Producer for several years of the short-form documentary profiles in "The Disney Channel Salutes the American Teacher".  We won a CableACE for these in 1991, but the IMDB form will not accept these, which were produced for Disney separately from the Special.  I am sure if I could discuss this with a human, it would be quickly resolved.   Similarly, I was the DGA Director for 32 episodes of the series, "Walt Disney World Inside Out", for which I submitted copies of all my DGA deal memos, but this also has not been accepted, perhaps because the director I replaced is credited for the whole show.  Is there a way to bypass these intractable automated submission forms and actually talk to someone?

Rob: Have you tried submitting "The Disney Channel Salutes the American Teacher" as a series to IMDb, using the form at https://contribute.imdb.com/updates?update=title?

I see from http://articles.latimes.com/1989-09-09/entertainment/ca-1552_1_teacher-training that this was a series which debuted with a half-hour episode and then ran weekly, 5-minute episodes starting in 1989. (You don't need to submit a Miscellaneous Link for titles from before the year 2000, but that link would be a good one to submit anyway.) I am not sure how the existing title at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1336711/ fits in to that series, though.

In any event, if you can get "The Disney Channel Salutes the American Teacher" listed as a series, you should then be able to get your credits for that listed as well as the award given to the series.

As to "Walt Disney World Inside Out", there are currently only 7 episodes of that 1994 series listed in the database (see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0321016/episodes?season=1). You would need to click "Add episode" to submit each of the other ones that you directed that aren't listed yet.

If you have other questions, you can always come back here and ask.

Deal memos and other documents can obviously help, but best proof is always the screenshot(s) from the actual credits (where your name is visible).

There are no shortcuts I'm afraid:

If the series itself is not yet listed on IMDb, you need to add that first (with required info/proof). Usually this means that people want to add the main cast&crew and the basic info for the historical purposes, not just themselves.

If the episodes are not yet listed, you need to add them first (with proper season/episode order, or at least with the original air date).

If your name is on the credits but not yet listed, you need to provide some proof - and screenshot of the credits is probably the best one.

If you're not credited, then you need to submit your name with "(uncredited)" attribute and provide some solid proof that you actually worked on the series.

EDIT: Found one episode (?) of "The Disney Channel Salutes the American Teacher" from 1994. It seems that the series doesn't have crew/end credits (if that's the case, it complicates things a little bit):

Hi there,

Please note in order for you to add these awards you will need to make sure the event is live on the following page:

http://imdb.com/event/all

From here you can add the awards via the 'edit page' button at the bottom of the awards page.

To reiterate what gromit and eboy have said, if there are missing episodes you can add these.
For instructions on how to add a new episode to a TV show please see the following help page:

http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?addnewepisode

Once these are live you can add the necessary credits. These will be reviewed and processed by the appropriate data manager. If we are unable to verify these credits then we will require further evidence, such as a screenshot of the end credits where your name and credited role appear.
