The numerical order in which distributors are listed has disappeared. Whether on the page for each film/TV show/video/etc., or on the individual distributor's page, all of the numbers are gone.

Please can you explain the problem more precisely with example URLs and, ideally, screenshots?

If you are referring to pages like http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3502262/companycredits then these lists have not been numbered since the page was redesigned several years ago.

If you are referring to pages like http://www.imdb.com/company/co0337718 then the numbers are still there on our side:

I don't know how to do a screenshot, but here's the URL for the distributors for 1956's "Around the World in 80 Days", for example.

https://contribute.imdb.com/updates

Normally distributors would be listed in numerical order by date of release, but now they're listed alphabetically by distributor name--here, for example, the 2016 BBC UK TV release is listed first, the 1972 USA CBS TV release is listed second, the Epoca video release for Argentina (no year given) is listed third, etc., and the very last entry is for the 1973 Finland Yleisradio TV release, and the column for "Order" for every entry is now empty.

Frankfob: I'm seeing this situation somewhat differently.

In edit mode, the distributors do have numbers, although those numbers appear to be arbitrary, with some numbers duplicated and other skipped:

And the distributors are listed in chronological order on the companies page:

Thanks.  We are testing an update to the contribution system at the moment and this is related.  We will point the appropriate team at this thread.

A fix for this is in review and should be live later today.

Thanks for activating the new contribution beta test on your account; if you discover any further issues, please make it clear that the problem is in the contribution system and that you are using the new beta test.  Your initial post made it seem like this was a complaint about the site display and it took longer to diagnose and resolve as a result

OK, thanks. Sorry for the confusion, I looked at my post again and realized I should have been a bit clearer.
