I'm not sure I've seen a case like this where a person is credited with different names in the beginning and end credits. I was watching Did I Kill My Mother?. In the beginning credits, the line producer is credited as "Eric M. Davies". Then, in the end credits he is credited as "Eric Davies". In both cases, they refer to Eric Davies. So, should it have the "as Eric M. Davies" attribute?

I don't think a single "as" attribute is appropriate as it suggests he wasn't credited under the primary name.
This is where contributors have used "also as" attributes in the past, but I don't know if this is currently accepted. The form accepts it, though.

This is what drives me crazy about this forum. Things will get marked as "answered" with no true indication of what the correct answer is when there are multiple and different answers.

That's a pretty ridiculous way of blessing the correct answer, especially given the answer doesn't appear to be officially supported by the IMDb system and you have to add it as a new attribute. "also as" should be treated by the system the same way as "as".

FWIW, I think the only proper way to credit this is as (also as) because (as) strongly suggests there was only one way in which this person was credited, which isn't the case.

Apologies, just to confirm (also as) is fine in this case. This has always been the method that we use if we feel that a user has answered a thread sufficiently, but I appreciate that this may not always be obvious.

Thanks for adding it to the guide Will. However, can you change two little things? Could you make it start on a new line, just like all the other attributes?
Also, can you change the word 'may' to 'should'? The word 'may' suggests a contributor can choose not to use the attribute (also as), but that is the attribute that is needed, so it should be used.

Thanks for changing the guide to reflect this. One question, though. Will the system support "also as" as it currently supports "as"? A contributor may think that "also as" is not correct because they get a warning where they don't get one using just "as".

Of the many likes received by Will when I have been the only respondent and that corresponds to an answered status I frequently post the results by screengrab of the e-mail so that the poster is not confused.
I agree that a little reply would be nice also.
Would save someone from being confused.
I, just am used to it.

No one has time to read each answer and analyze the likes to see which one is prefered. It takes someone less than 30 seconds to say this is the correct one, though if you are going to mark one as correct, it should be actually supported by the IMDb system, which "also as" isn't.

I read (Yes all 18,000 of them) all my likes and who gave them. I save some of the key (important) likes by Champions and same with Employees in my e-mail.
