Don’t get emails from watchlist, when a new episode is on tonight

Do you have your setting checked off?

On the desktop version, go to your Account settings:

Then Email Preferences


To IMDb staff: When searching Help for "email", nothing about email preferences comes up under IMDb, only for IMDbPro, and that's not the same. I also tried "Watchlist email", and the Watchlist FAQ doesn't mention the above settings either.

If it's out there, please make it searchable.

Yes, I have. But I just get emails on 2-3 shows. For examlpe, Peaky blinders have alredy aired. The show is on my watchlist, but I don’t get an email. And there att more shows thats aired, but I don’t get emails that it’s on thonight.

But season 5 episode 1 aired 25 of August. And I did’t get an email about it.

But IMDb doesn't know that - the episodes have an October date.

The series Succession season 2 aired August 11, did not get an email about that, and don’t get any emails about this show at all. Its only 2 or 3 shows I get emails about.

This is an example that a staffer might need to respond to (or another forum user who's been through something similar). I don't know if IMDb also needs another datafeed beyond the episode date before they send emails.

Hi Sandra,

I can see that bderoes helped to answer the issue with Peaky Blinders, which is due to the release date for the episodes, which is currently shown as the Netflix release date.

For the issue with Succession, I can confirm that the title is on your Watchlist, and the air dates are correct. Can you confirm if you have received any "On Tonight" email for the subsequent episodes of Succession (was it only the first episode which you didn't receive an email for)? 

Also, if you've experienced this issue with other titles, please provide the title and episode details and we'd be happy to look further into this.
