Edit watchlist on mobile site

Hi,

I'm using chrome on a Kindle Fire HD 8 and cannot edit my watch list as after I've made some changes i still can't click on the save list order link. I've tried switching to the desktop site and opening the page in an incognito tab but that didn't help either.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

Could you please write us back with the following so we can look into this further?

- the Kindle device update version you are using
- the IMDb app version you are using
- an example of the title you are attempting to add or edit on your watchlist

Thanks in advance!

- Steve

- Fire IS 5.6.0.0
- I'm not using an app, I'm on imdb.com via chrome, see above. I've tried both the mobile and desktop site
- I'm not trying to add any titles, that works fine, I just can't change the order of the approx. 25 titles on my list. So if I change any of the numbers on the left hand side on a Windows laptop I can usually save the new order by clicking on the 'save list order' button but that doesn't work on my fire tablet

Thanks!

Hi there,

Please know that while you may be able to access the full desktop version of the IMDb site from your mobile Chrome browser, the mobile browser may not be to support the same functionality as your desktop computer's browser would. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

For the best results, I recommend reordering your list via the desktop site on a desktop device.

Thanks!

That is all you have to say about this? I don't often have access to a desktop device, that's why I posted here. I'm a bit disappointed to be honest, I thought you would actually look into this.

Hi,

I've just tried the Silk browser and I'm having the same problems so it's either an incompatibility with kindle or a bug on the mobile site. Could you look into this again please? The app doesn't offer the function at all so I can't use it at the moment.

Many thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. Please know that we investigated this issue with our technical team, and confirmed that the Chrome browser is not supported from the Amazon Appstore for Kindle Fire Devices, which is why you may have experienced this issue with the functionality of the IMDb desktop site within the browser.

You can still manage your IMDb list on your Kindle Fire via the desktop site on the Kindle's Silk browser, and utilize the IMDb app for Kindle Fire for other features.

Please let us know if we can offer any further help.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Edit watchlist on mobile site - part 2.

I've posted about a problem I'm having with the mobile site ("Edit watchlist on mobile site") and the problem was marked as solved but I'm still having the same issue. I've posted there again a week ago but haven't received a response. Can someone let me know if my latest posts have been acknowledged and if the problem is being looked into?

Hi scenedamage,

I've reviewed your replies above for this issue. I'm sorry to hear you're still unable to edit your Watchlist on the Kindle browser.

We recommend reaching out to Amazon directly:

http://www.amazon.com/contact

to ensure the browser is working properly.

It's not just the Silk browser though, it doesn't work on chrome either. Surely this is a bug on your mobile site? Amazon won't be able to help with this.

@scenedamage
I tried on Chrome on K8, and had the same problem, until I did this:
after entering the new position number, I tapped the "enter" key (big right arrow on Google keyboard).
Then the Save List Order link lit up, I tapped it, and the title moved to the correct position.
