Editing TV character names

I've been trying to correct character names in a TV series with other submissions.  The other data is accepted but the incorrect names remain unapproved.  IMDB is allowing incorrect information to live on the site.  WHY?

There may be one or many reasons why some items within a submission were not accepted, which may include an unknown processing delay.

Please post the 18-digit reference numbers of the submission(s) so an IMDb representative can review the data. The info would be located on your personal Update History page and your email correspondence from IMDb.

I'm having a similar issue. I've been submitting changes to character names for a couple months now. The changes originally appeared but now the names are showing up to what they were before I submitted changes.
