I'm confused how to edit the storyline on a project page. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips? It seems you can edit quite a bit, but I'm having trouble figuring this out.

There are 3 sections that can be considered 'Storyline', the Outline, the Summary and the Synopsis.

The Outline should be a very short item - not more than two lines, while the Summary is supposed to be about 10 lines. Both of these have to be submitted through the main Edit page system and reviewed by the Data Managers. Neither of these should contain any spoilers. You will find both Plot Outlines and Plot Summaries in the Plot & Quotes  section of the Update page. There can be several of each for a single Title.

An Outline, if one exists for the Title, is shown on the main Title page; otherwise the first couple of lines of  a Summary will be shown.  All of them are shown on the Plot Summary sub-page for the Title.

The Synopsis, on the other hand is one of the 'swiki' sections on IMDb; it is immediately update-able by users without any need for the Data Managers to check it. This should be a scene-by-scene description of the film and can contain spoilers.

All three of these are in separate lists, and changes made to any one of them will not affect the others.

If you changed the Synopsis, and wish to correct the others, you will need to submit Update requests, starting by clicking the yellow Edit page button near the bottom of the page.

It might be a good idea to check the 3 Submission Guides in the Plot & Swiki Sections of the Data Submission Guides page for the official description of what is wanted for each one.
