Simplify the rating process

You call it "refreshed our ratings experience on titles" -- I call it: making the ratings feature more bloated, and more cumbersome to use. :(

Previously, clicking the rating icon would immediately show a pop-up, now a new "page" is loaded with just a big blurry image as background (which feels slower, even if maybe it isn't).
Previously, the pop-up showed a list of previous votes (of any value) right away, and tapping a star would filter the list down to votes of the same value. Both scrollable immediately, and the list was no wider than poster thumbnail and title required.

Quick, clean, functional, useful.

Now, there is no list of previous votes-of-any-value at all. And after clicking a star, a banner appears at the bottom, in which I have to tap a tiny arrow in the right corner, then pull the banner to the top, and finally I can scroll the list of votes-of-the-same-value. And that list spreads across the entire width of the screen, with thumbnail and title aligned far left of the center in landscape mode (which is common practice on tablets).

Seriously, IMDb? Did your UI designer(s) really think this is an improvement?

I would be glad if this change is rolled back, and I hope other users share that view. Here are two already.

I would be even happier if the app developers focused less on visual frivolities, and more on functional improvements (this isn't the first time I felt the app became more bloated for no good reason).
For example -- and this might be better put in a separate feature request -- it's been a long time since the features to add/edit title Trivia and edit Plot summaries were added to the app. Why do we still not have that ability on very similar types of content, like title Crazy Credits and Goofs, and people Trivia? Now that would be a welcome update. :)

Hi there,

Thanks so much for your feedback regarding the rating experience on the IMDb app, as well as the contribution experience for "Did you know? / Fun Stuff" on titles. I've updated this thread to an Idea, where it can be reviewed by other IMDb staff and users for consideration for future updates and changes.

Let us know if we can offer any further help.

My mobile devices use Android. I didn't explicitly set iOS on this post, so I don't know how that happened, but I also don't see how I could adjust the category. Feel free to move it.
