Episode of a TV Series With a "Follows/Followed By" Link to Another Episode of the Same Series?

I just stumbled upon this in the movie connections for the recent episode of The Simpsons "Kamp Krustier". It's a sequel to the classic episode "Kamp Krusty" and it now has a "Follows" link on IMDb to reflect this. Is this something IMDb allows? It strikes me like it shouldn't be allowed according to IMDb policy because, regardless of plot content, every episode made since "Kamp Krusty" technically "follows" that episode. That's why they're linked in the way that episodes are linked. This connection seems redundant and a situation where "references" should be used instead. Given that "follows" connections now require a specific form to be filled out, I assume that a moderator gave this a proper look before approving it which is why I'm asking the question. Is this something IMDb allows and, if so, should, for example, all of the Sideshow Bob episodes of The Simpsons or all of their "Treehouse of Horror" episodes get similar links?

Hello Turnip  :)
You can't do "Followed by" links between episodes of the same TV series. Episode #1 is usually followed by episode #2 which is then followed by episode #3

They all "follow" episode #1. It would make the links silly & redundant

Hi cyber_turnip -

The information Steve mentioned is correct as per our current policy, therefore, the connection you asked about should not be allowed and we have now removed the connection from the episode.  Cheers!

Thanks, guys!

I thought that was the case; was just thrown by seeing that connection and wanted to make sure.
