Every time I try to get registered, I get, "Number of attempts exceeded."

Tr y clearing your cookies. If that doesn't work, try using your browser's incognito mode.

I'm thinking you're already probably good and there is no issue. I imagine that error message occurs if registration is already complete.

It's probably an issue on their end then. You might want to try from a different device just in case, but I doubt it would change anything.
