Exclude rankings from the country where the film was made in the calculation for the top 250 films.

The biases are obvious and it ruins a decent chunk of validity the list has.

Hi Dardan Bastiaan,

The IMDb Top 250 is nothing more and nothing less than the consensus of regular IMDb users. It does not necessarily constitute the best films made. IMDb does not disclose how they determine a regular user.

Excluding ratings for a film from voters in the same country as the film would exclude the majority of ratings. The results may be interesting, but it would not constitute a representative ranking of the IMDb user base as a whole.
