Two European acting families, one Swedish and one Irish. Both have patriarchs with long careers both at home and overseas. Both have eldest son actors who have been growing their profiles over the last decade or so. And each have several younger children just waiting for their chance to break into the business.

Brendan Gleeson and his priestly turn in Calvary is one of the biggest Oscar snubs in the past decade.
