Hi Chandra,

The title and question would be better with the following formatting and capitalization. Spider-Man is usually written with a hyphen.

Face-Off: Favorite Spider-Man Love Interest

Which of these Spider-Man love interests is your favorite?

I haven't seen the other two but I do like Mary Jane a lot and she also has the advantage of nostalgia. : )

Mary-Jane Watson for me, but mostly for her comic book appearances. I like the idea of a character from an abusive household that masks her problems by putting on a perpetually happy facade. I liked the stories which depicted her as a struggling model and actress, who has to worry about rent and financially supporting a nearly-always broke husband.

I also liked the stories where she is Peter's wife and main confidante and has to deal with the many other people in his life. I enjoyed the story where she outsmarted Chameleon, and then beat him up with a baseball bat (Spectacular Spider-Man vol. 1 #245, April, 1997).

I am quite fed-up with writers treating Gwen Stacy as Peter's "Lost Lenore" instead of a fleshed-out character.
