Why is this TV series marked with "Coming soon" when it has been released?
I added the title and it used to say "Needs 5 ratings", but suddenly it changed to "Coming soon"?
The Link to the Official site proves it is released.

Hello Kristin
Which country are you in?

The Release dates for Monsen minutt for minutt (2018) are only given for Norway (as 12 July 2018).
If you add a release date for another territory then that should get rid of the "Coming soon" label.

I am in Norway. It's shown on Norwegian Television. Not on any foreign channels as far as I know. It is however available to the world on the broadcasters web site thou. But does that count as release in another country?    https://tv.nrk.no/serie/monsen-minutt-for-minutt

Sorry for the confusion here. The "Coming Soon" label here applies only to the IMDb customer rating on our 1-10 scale, not to the show's broadcast date, sorry.

It is a new label under test for the ratings when the title is available for voting yet has not received sufficient votes for us to produce a weighted average rating out of 10. The problem with "Needs 5 ratings" was it was not always precisely the case, since there are circumstances under which we can have received 5+ votes without generating an overall score out of 10.

Also, a rating is not probably not coming soon in the case of a film which is lost or rarely seen and has been in the database for many years.

Thanks, yes, this is why I mentioned the new wording was “under test” ... the feedback on this thread shows the test is failing :-)

Col: I agree with Kristin that something like "Needs more ratings" would be a better explanation than "Coming soon". You could even link that phrase to a help page which would explain how many ratings a title needs in order to generate an overall score out of 10.

I didn't realize before that "there are circumstances under which we can have received 5+ votes without generating an overall score out of 10." What are those circumstances?

The main reasons are (a) votes from accounts which have not validated their email addresses (b) votes which have been detected as ineligible via our spam protection systems.  We found people were contacting us complaining that "I know <x> people have voted for this title but you are not displaying a rating, why?" for values of <x> greater than 5 so we were trying to improve the wording. We just made it worse instead, sorry.

Col, are you actually serious? This is not just misleading, it is OBVIOUSLY misleading. Come on.
